Danoinark Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I have Orvis Silver Labels. If I recall they are a couple of hundred dollars or more less expensive than the G-3's. I have had them for several years without any issues. The pair I had before were at least 5 years old and sprung a leak in the neoprene booties. I sent them back and they replaced them with a new pair. Their customer service and warranty on waders are superb. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Bman Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I love my Sims G3's. Three years and going strong. Guide buddy and mentor Chuck Griess of Anglers & Archery at Tanneycomo is on the water year round abusing waders more than anyone I know. Chuck has always used Simms, but now Hodgeman has something he likes. Call Chuck at the end of the day around 5 pm when he's off the water and ask him. Tell him Bruce sent ya. 417-335-4655 Chuck will give you an honest opinion, whether you buy from him or not. Just my 2 bits... The only good line is a tight line
OKFlyFisher44 Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 ( with a nice pair of Chota boots, can't beat those either). I completely agree with you there as well. I love my Chotas, they're ridiculously comfortable! I'll never buy another pair of wading boots, ever. Chance ...I'm haunted in my dreams of waters I have yet to fish and trout I have yet to catch... Idylwilde Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 I have the Chota Elk River Sock Foot Waders and Caney Fork Boots they have been great and $250.00 for the waders and $150.00 for the boots I can't scream about the cost. Take a Child Fishing they are the future of the sport.
eric1978 Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Orvis is good, Simms are better. Get the G3s. Beyond that you're looking at diminishing returns. G3s are right in that wheelhouse of "price-to-quality-to-practicality-ratio" that we're all trying to hit.
txspecks04 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Has anyone on here had any experience with the William Joseph Dry-namic waders? The write up on them sounds great, but I was wanting to hear about some real world experiences...thinking this might be my big Christmas gift this year Thanks, tx
