Brian K. Shaffer Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 My biggest is a 64 incher! ( well, I guess that was 8 eight inch fish put together... so what! ) cheers, tight lines and screaming reels - Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
zsmith62 Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Yeah, considering it was also a World record for fly rod, I'd say your right... And man what a fish! One we can all aspire to. Wow, I had no idea that one of the records came out of taney! Not to mention that it was caught by one of our own members. Nice work! Zach Smith
Members wackinbass Posted June 30, 2009 Members Posted June 30, 2009 GREAT STORIES!! My wife Summer was 6 months pregnant when she hooked her biggest brown first time night fishing. About 15 minutes before we hooked a nice rainbow as well. Here's the story... OMG! What did that Brown weigh in at anyway? What a giant. Nice job Summer.
Members wackinbass Posted June 30, 2009 Members Posted June 30, 2009 Here's my biggest Taneycomo fish so far. It's a 7.96lb walleye and a 4.9oz smallie. Caught them in the 2008 on the same day. Probably came up through Beaver Creek when the flooding was taking place in Taneycomo.

Seth Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 My biggest is a 27" long rainbow that had a 16" girth and weighed right at 10 pounds. I caught it off the dock at Lazy Valley four or five years ago on 2# test. I hooked another one just like him that weekend, but he broke me off on the dock. We tried reviving it in the stock tank they have setup for big fish, but she kept going belly up. I tried for over an hour to revive that fish.
