Members shadman Posted July 3, 2009 Members Posted July 3, 2009 I just gotta say after reading a few things here i see here that thier are more waders and floaters hittin these small creeks that we are bledded to have, glad to see it lives strong! I also have noticed that what i thought was my great wisdom, lol, is actually common knowledge between us brownie stalkers. The one lure i always have on a trip is tried and true and i always know that if thier are fish in this hole, i will get one or 2 of em to hit... I bet all of u have a lure and i also bet its the same one... Heres my question. If you could take just one lure on a trip to the creek, what would it be? for me theres no doubt,, teeny rebel craw crankbait, green softshell color. actually this lure IS all u need to catch bass on the streams, but sometimes another lure will outperform it, next size up rebel craw...lol

Yeah they are a dandy bait, but darn those tiny hooks ! I gotta go with a worm, rigged accordingly you can do it all, top to bottom.
FishinCricket Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 For me if it wasn't the teeny craw (or similar swimmer) then I would have to say a 1/16th ounce Maribou Jig in black, with a red head and a white tail. Next in line would be a Brown Kastmaster with green stripes... Fantastic lure with quite a few presentation options. cricket.c21.com
hoglaw Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 For me it's a hula grub or a single tail grub on a weedless jighead.
