Members littlemiamijeff Posted August 31, 2009 Members Posted August 31, 2009 Further information please. Bank or boat? What are they hitting? I'm heading that way in two weeks. That Wiper is a bruiser. Congrats. Thanks for the kudos, I was on the bank, right at the NO FISHING line, launcher/agitator with 18" leader w/Zoom fluke white or pearl, glued to an ice spoon/hook. Fish the launcher like a "popping" cork, which you can buy at the Wal Mart in Osage Beach, already set up, the spitting/popping action brings them running when the top water bite is on. Also, Storm Thunderstick, I think it's called, top water skitters all over the place, spits, again, great top water action. When they were deeper, I was throwing 3oz casting spoons into the boil/current, let it sink and skip across the rocks, you'll lose a few but when the fish are deep, the tinking across the rocks seems to attract them. I also did a little trolling on the lake in a cove off the Grand Glaize arm, in my kayak, and caught some yearling wipers on Rapala shad raps, deep divers. LMJ
