I know what yo mean Moto. My fishing / radio show partner Kory thinks catching fish on a Wiggle Wart is close to a religous experience

What color Wiggle warts are the most productive, please? Many thanks.

I like four colors for Table Rock:

Brown Craw - usually best when the water has some color

Phantom Green Craw - best in the clear water of the lower end

Natural Green Craw - Good all over, particually in the mid lake

Watermelon - Really good on brownies on cloudy windy days

I own about ten other colors but these are the ones I throw the most.

Oh, and they are are all "pre-Rapala" models.

I am a fanatical wart thrower. Maybe not as bad as I am about my spooks, but if I am going to fish hard plastic under the surface, it will be a wart. I would add only one color to Eric's list. When the water is brownish and dingy I often use the red craw, V90. And I agree totally about the "original" series versus the rapala new version.

By the way, Dave Storm's non compete agreement must have expired. Look at Dave's Ka Boom lures. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he has remade the wart. Yet.

Eric's information on fall fishing patterns and time frames is perhaps the best advice I have ever read on Fall Patterns. Excellent.

Would only add, not to forget that C-rig. When they get on the fall FB jig pattern, sometime they will get all over that Green Pumpkin or Watermellon, cenipede. Also that jig bite can be a very deep bite. I use the 3/4 oz jig here more than any other time. The less you do with it the better, just drag it like a rig. It is sometime a prussure bite, but most often, a very hard "THUMP".

Very nice piece of work here for all that has been involved on this thread.

How do I deal with those who ignore the 50 yard encroachment rule?......I show them just how accurate I am with a crank bait! rtj4bb.gif

Wow, great info guys! Thanks a lot! I fully expect to catch hundreds of bass using your tips and if I do not, you can expect to hear from my lawyer. hahaha just kidding. Really thanks a million and I will be sure to take lots of pictures and give a good report when we get back. Also, I have caught some nice bass this year up here in Illinois, but it's obviously not Ozarks fishing. Would anyone want to see them or should I just stick them on the MidStates Anglers site? Just curious. I want to participate more here, but I only make it down to Ozark country a couple times a year. Thanks again!
