Carver Access?

My wife and I are planning a family oriented trip with my brother and his family to the Buffalo next wkend. Taking canoes, but not sure whether we will actually float or not. Was wondering what the Carver Access/Campground is like - is there a decent swimming hole? Any decent fishing water you can hike or wade to? etc.... I bet Bobber can help me out on this one. Thanks. campground is small and usually pretty full. A hang out for many locals, good swimming hole, fishing good above and below. I would put in the canoe at the Hastey Access and float down just to get away from the crowds unless you want to "meet" people short float, short comute.
