Micheal Kyle Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Well great now you have figured out Leonards and my night time game To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
fly2fish Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 You catch all those strippers at night on the PMS fly? I don't believe ya! Remember no pics .......... All the strippers I catch at night are on PMS but I don't think they would allow the pictures on here. F2F
Don Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Gonna have to say my flip focals. I can do most anything else almost as fast some other way, but tying tiny fly onto gross diameter tippets takes forever If I can't see em. Same here. I've forgotten or lost nippers, hemo's, camera, etc at one time or another, but the toughest trip I (blind old buzzard) had was without mangifyers. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Paola Cat Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Magnifiers or ...... "old people glasses" .... Heck I'm using them now. I actually can't see anything up close without them. Watch me try to thread a #20 without them ..... pretty comical. After a while you'd be asking .... PC are you sitting this one out? I've actually had to go back to the truck to get them after 15 minutes of total frustration. PC Cheers. PC

Stoneroller Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 hemostats, hands down, necessary for proper release of fish. Fish On Kayak Adventures, LLC. Supreme Commander 'The Dude' of Kayak fishing www.fishonkayakadventures.com fishonkayakadventures@yahoo.com
Kayser Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Net. I de-barb all of my flies at the vice, so the net helps for admiring fish, getting pictures, and "officially" getting the big one. It's a problem when you get the big one in, but can't get your hand around it. Rob WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.
Al Agnew Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Definitely the hemostat/scissors combo is the most useful single piece of equipment for me. But depending upon the situation, other stuff can be more necessary. A wading staff when fishing big Western rivers. Fly floatant if I'm fishing dries. My prescription polarized glasses if I'm sight fishing.
hfdhoosier Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 definitely magnifiers and tippet threaders also help. I usually crowd the hook eye with my tying so these are a must Dennis Eat, Fish, Sleep,....Repeat Member: ozarkflyfishers http://www.ozarkflyfishers.org/
