I'm breaking in a new fishin' buddy, we named him River :) He's our new 9 week old Lab.

I know alot of guys think a dog has no place on float/fishing trips (spooking fish, getting tangled up in lines ect.) but if you love dogs and train them right from the beginning they are really great to have along. Especially on those otherwise "solo" trips. This one will most likely be with me on all future trips, short or long.

I caught a few fish, but the real reason for the trip was just to get him in the environment and see how he handled himself. Seems to be hell outa the gate... but not much for stamina....yet, as he was completely spent by 3pm and had to be carried to the truck at the end of the day. And 5 hours later, back home, he is STILL sleeping "must be the Pedigree"

Anyway, here's the pics.....

Great pics wrench! You know... sure, of course I love to catch fish while on a trip, but the biggest parts of any trip on the water to me is enjoying the scenery and enjoying the company sharing the day with ya. Looks to me like you had the best of all three!

My goodness! Look at the claw in that fish's mouth! That was a monster crawfish relative to the size of the bass.
