Members Sherwood Flycaster Posted August 4, 2009 Members Posted August 4, 2009 So, I am keenly aware that Explorer is the "recommended" browser to utilize this forum. Recommended, hell- it's required(for full function)! As a Macintosh user however, that is a deal breaker. The Mac version was eliminated after version 5.2. Adding readable posts(with all the preferred line and paragraph breaks and those little faces), viewing the Lilleys Dock Camera, etc. all elude me. And it keeps me from being more active here. It's frustrating. I don't even want to re-read my stuff when it all runs together as one big paragraph with no ability to underline, bold, or wink when I'm just being silly, etc. This post would have two or three line breaks by now, and it does as I type it, but as soon as I hit post it will reset the entire thing to one drawn out block of text. Is their a workaround(add-ons, patches, etc)? Is there a break in the clouds coming that I cannot foresee(format change to be multi-browser friendly)? Help a brutha out, yo! (Firefox 3.5.1 user, with Safari 4.0.1 and Explorer 5.2 collecting dust) Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted August 4, 2009 Root Admin Posted August 4, 2009 I've had a mac for almost a year, using safari, and never had this experience. It worked fine "out of the box". It's got to be a setting in your browser. As for the lake cam, I use a windows based program to encode the video so only explorer see it. I am looking into using something else for other browsers.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted August 4, 2009 Root Admin Posted August 4, 2009 I changed your skin- that may help.
Members Sherwood Flycaster Posted August 4, 2009 Author Members Posted August 4, 2009 Thanks for that info, Phil! I had read something about "skins" elsewhere just before I wrote this and wondered about that. This is a Test- This line should be spaced under the line above. Now I only have the Dock Cam "Jones" to resolve! Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land.
