strangercreek Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I always loved the boats pulling tubes downlake and the all the suden make a 180 degree turn with a ten year old right in front of your boat. They never look when they turn, drives me nuts. There just lucky im always paying attention when driving a boat. I agree with this, it seems there are as many careless boat drivers as there are PWC riders. I have owned several Seadoos and finally got rid of them after having to many close calls. I was on the Pomme once and some idiot who was driving his boat with the trim set wrong (could not see where he was going) pulling a tube almost hit me, twice in one day (two different parts of the lake). One of the times I was sitting in two feet of water on the bank near the Nemo bridge. Any idiot can buy a watercraft and put it on the lake. I also had problems at Perry Lake KS with giant boats tearing down the lake not watching for anyone, throwing 4 ft wakes near shallow areas, and that type of thing. I've seen the other side of it also, where the idiots are on the PWCs. It comes down to the fact that people need to realize how dangerous it can be. Think about it, you have a big open body of water, no roads, no directions, you can go whichever way/direction/speed you want. People need to be careful
