Does anybody know what the bubbles are that are constantly coming up from just upstream of Lilley's Landing? I was down there this last weekend and I've never seen them before this trip.

It's the Giant Taneycomo Man-Eating Squid. Use the search feature. Many already know about him.

Keep an eye out for him, especially at night, Don

I caught you a delicious bass.

That could've been it...lol

It couldn't tell if it was a pipe down there or what. I could see the bottom there, but the bubbles were so thick I couldn't see where they were coming from.

I once encountered this same thing on the niagua river. It turned out to be dry ice that someone had dumped into the river.

That makes sense because it was right by the water treatment building at the end of the lane.

OK, I'll admit there isn't a giant man-eating squid. But there was a 20' gator on the lake since Wednsday. Mostly seen between Fall Creek and Short Creek. He stayed around Short Creek for most of Thursday morning and fed on several 12 to 14 inch rainbows. Friday he went pretty hungry with only a few smaller fish. If he is sighted again in October, be carefull, he will be hungry when he returns.
