Did manage to catch 2 rainbows on a stimulator against the bluff bank below Lookout... 2 units running this morning. One drift- all I had time for.

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted August 18, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted August 18, 2009 Yes- been doing it for a couple of years now. Was in a hurry when I posted the report. The water was coming up -- it was actually running higher than I like to fish a dry along the bank. They were running one unit when I left the house but was rising when I got up there. I try to hit the pockets and seams along the bank. There was quite a bit of leaf matter floating, esp when the wind picked up. I didn't see any rising at all. Only saw 2 rainbows and I caught both. The nicer one- he refused it the first drift but I was able to get another cast to him and he turned and took it. Cool. He was pushing 19 inches and did not want to come in. The second was holding close to the surface and he just took it when I drifted it over him. Gotta do that more often!!
