Members littlemiamijeff Posted August 20, 2009 Members Posted August 20, 2009 Hello all at Ozarks Anglers! I'm Jeff from Cincinnati, littlemiamijeff, named after a wonderful river/trib to the Ohio River that runs through my neck of the woods, small mouth, large mouth, hybrid stripers, some true stripes now and then, white bass, sauger, saugeye, muskie, walleye, most are stocked and spill over spillways, or come up from Ohio River to spawn or false spawn. I spent my teens and early/mid twenties in the St. Charles/St. Louis area, Pinnacle Lake sound familiar to anyone? Fished Lake of the Ozarks end of July this summer, mostly below Bagnell Dam on the Osage River, since spill ways and boils are what I am most familiar with (wipers and stripers). I do have a question: In the 75 yard "no fishing" zone below Bagnell Dam, can you cast into the zone? I did, with a 12' surf rod, up to the wall where the boil is, and caught some decent wipers. The boats would line up on this imaginary line, and cast into the zone as well. I was told a couple times you couldn't by people on the bank, and told you could by others. I like to obey the regs, can anyone help? I sent an email to MDC as well, hoping to get their official response. Great to meet you all, tight lines! LMJ
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted August 21, 2009 Root Admin Posted August 21, 2009 Thanks for posting- esp the pics. There are several guys who fish below Bagnell. If you don't get your answer here, ask it on the Bagnell forum.

I see you own a tackle shop, check out smacktackle.com for some awesome gizzard shad cranks. Thanks Jeff
