motoman Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 Very nice Zach! Thank You. I hope to make it down next week. (fingers crossed)
Members mrbaker Posted September 13, 2009 Members Posted September 13, 2009 I was catching the catfish around 1 to 3, and the rest of the time we were out there around 8 am. til we got tired. Zack, do you mean 1 to 3 a.m. or p.m. Also, what part of the lake are you drifting for cats? I went out drifting last Thurs. evening just before dark and caught 6 that totaled 45lbs. Was drifting coves around the 16 or 17mm.
Members Zach Beach Posted September 15, 2009 Members Posted September 15, 2009 I meant 1 pm to 3pm. Around the 49 mm there is a large main lake flat. It probably averages around 15 to 20 feet deep with a large hump that comes all the way up to 4 feet. We drifted again this last weekend and probably only caught a dozen or so. Had a hard time catching anything. I did have some odd luck around our dock in about 4 feet of water in some brush. I was catching crappie. I was shocked to find them so shallow this time of year even with this colder weather.
