Ok we have a Cabin at Truman couple miles from a nice cove that should be some good fishing. We're about 10 miles from the Dam.

Ok here is the question I like the looks of both places is it worth the Gas to drive over to the Dam,is the fishing that much better?

If fishing is hot below the dam, I would say yes it is definitely worth the 10 mile trip. But it all just depends on how the fishing is. I haven't been down in forever so I can't comment on that. Good luck either way!

The best time to fish is when it's raining . . . and when it's not!

I haven't been below the dam for a while but for me I like it best when the corps is running lots of water which they have not been doing. So my vote would be fish the lake, with the temps. that we have been having lately all of the fishing should really pick up (I hope) it's been somewhat spotty in the last few weeks. Good luck!

Its always been hit or miss for me, but if you hit it right its worth driving a long way.

Are you south or north on the lake?

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Caught the whites and hybryds one night the first week in June, I thinke we had 10 fish over 5lbs a couple weighed 8 to 10. Caught the flathead the middle of Aug. Most all the fish were caught on a purple bettle, below the dam. Slider

That's a nice mess of fish right there. Got to love the walleye and hybrids.
