Members Deep-V-Fisher Posted September 16, 2009 Members Posted September 16, 2009 I hope to make this a good trip. This year has sucked so far for bass. Adam Boat ~ Fisher Deep V 19' Main Lake ~ LOTO
fishinwrench Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Not really the best time of year to be fishing the lower end IMO, but that comes from a guy that hates fishin' the mainlake stuff. You can do ok on numbers by running down a cove and burning crankbaits along the shady sides of the docks (Bomber model A). But pitchin' to the backend docks should get you some better kickers. There's a pretty decent Spook bite in the backends too...on some days. Knock'em dead

Members Deep-V-Fisher Posted September 21, 2009 Author Members Posted September 21, 2009 Well i threw my whole Tackle Box at them over the weekend. Nothing seemed to work other than trolling the outer edge of docks with deep running rapala's. Total 8 bass most of which were around the 2lb mark... one nice one at 4lbs. Of course no pics.... forgot the camera back at the house. Seems the fish are still deep. No action on top water whatsoever. Got a nice size crappie on one of the deep runners too. Crazy how that works. Adam Boat ~ Fisher Deep V 19' Main Lake ~ LOTO
CMAC Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Wrench don't give all the secrets away! LOL. Actually your right, there was a great spooky bite over the weekend and it didn't have to be dock ends if you know what I mean! Later.

I was referring to the "back ends" (as in the backend flats) .......I know nothing about Dock ends. LOL Where I've been catching spook fish, you can see the bottom. Are you catching them over deeper water ?
