I am heading down to the lake this weekend. I was there last weekend on Saturday only and had no luck at all. Can anyone give me some ideas to catch some bass?

I was at Shawnee Bend last week, and caught mine either chasing shad in the back of coves with spinner bait or frog shaker (I think thats what they call it) also caught a few around shady side of docks in late afternoon early evening. Lots of boat traffic though, very tuff.

spinner bait should be the only bait you need right now, look for those big shad running up in the chunk rock. There backs will stick out of the water when you find em, and those big bass will be really close to them . We caught ours in that area waking a blade in about a foot of water. The sun shine helped the bite and it warmed those rocks the shad were keyin on up. keep chucking and you will get some.

From the scent of the breeze off my deck I'd say she's turning over in spots.

Might be a tough bite on the lake for a week or so.

crushed em on that blade and the lake isnt turning over, hope you still got out there
