FishinCricket Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Sorry...science is a stubborn thing. Just can't seem to shake it. I do believe in Mr. Hanky, though. Everyone knows he's real. Hideeho! Tell ya what's sad.. My Hanky isn't real, but NAMBLA is! (I had never heard of this organization until a few months ago.. Made me sick!) cricket.c21.com

Never heard of NAMBLA but I think you're laughing at the thought of me looking it up. Not gonna do it.

No laughing, it's a sick organization. I'll save you the trouble of looking it up, NAMBLA stands for North American Man/Boy Love Association. Sick, eh? cricket.c21.com

I hope I don't see any man-boy love on the river today.

Danoinark Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Obviously the Ghost Angler is not unique to the NFOW....he likes to fish Norfork also. I saw him early one morning below the handicapped access as he made his way down to the C and R area. This was taken years ago. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"

Mark Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Could the ghost be that of Dirty Dick Boze?? Dirty Dick Boze, whose family ran the Boze Mill, was a bushwacker during the Civil War. Union troops pursued the bushwackers and by the end of the Civil War, they had been largely dispersed. After the Civil War, Dirty Dick vowed to stay in the area and fight the Union troops to the finish. Finally, a Kansas regimen was sent to the Eleven Point area to flush out dirty Dick once and for all. Dirty Dick was finally gunned down by the Jayhawkers and was buried in a nearby cemetery.
