Looking For Wading Streams

I have a personal pontoon and really liked it when i used it. Slow water in it SUCKS. there is no other way to describe it. I have a 10ft ODC and if I had to do it all over again, I would have bought the 12ft or 16ft model so I could have taken my girls with me. I still look at the 3 man pontoon every now and then....

Yep -- I remember a couple years ago with you on NFOW. There were times when the 'toon looked great, and times when it looked like it sucked (like in the frog water). But the canoe is just kinda there in the middle. Never great, never sucks.

I do think a 'toon would be nice on a couple places I fish close to home -- small lakes, etc.

You talking about your jon boat...darnit, made me think back again, lol.

I think I've showed it here before but anyway here was my favotite boat I've ever owned and fished out of.

Was a 22', 36" wide old river jon. Was narrow enouph to paddle decent and plenty of room, didn't hook each other...just was a sweet old boat.

Had it for about 35 yrs., had just restored the whole boat inside and out and the trailor. Got to use it 1 time and then a couple of meth heads running from the law smashed the sh$$t out of it sitting by my fathers garage.

Broke my heart but the worst thing is my 84 yr. old father...it just did something to him, he hasn't fished since, I can't get him to go. So in all I lost my favorite boat and my favorite fishing partner...I'll never be able to replace either of them. Had to have a little pitty party for myself there for a moment, lol...sorry guys.

Believe me...what they did to the boat, well it sucked big time, but the affect it had on my dad I couldn't agree more Eric...if I could pull the 'Fry' lever on em I would have.
