Gatorjet Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Any speculation on how the bass fishing will be this weekend. What is this cold front going to do. Interested in lower lake the Dam to the Glaze, and Gravois arm. Real men go propless!
fishinwrench Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Early Fall is a great time to fish L.O. Cool spells seem to put the dinks off, but the keepers still bite ok. Just pick a creek arm that you like, and stay there 'til you figure out a workable pattern. Then work that same pattern in similar creek arms, and you should do ok. Lots of 2-5 lbers being caught now, and some really FAT kentucky's on a topwater bite. Good luck, Wrench

But judging by results very few are getting them? Legdes, with football jigs and DD22s. I haven't been in awhile, but there was a great topwater bite.
Members BobK Posted October 2, 2009 Members Posted October 2, 2009 The only bad thing about this weekend is the big fishing tournament at the lake....they are expecting several hundred boats. You ain't a live'n if your not a fish'n

Members Phishful Thinking Posted October 6, 2009 Members Posted October 6, 2009 Run squarebills and chatterbaits through some laydowns. If your not getting bit switch to a jig. Shouldn't be long before they start moving back after those shad though. Black buzzbait if they're back there.
