Forsythian Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 A buddy's gigging boat could use a new prop... he's got a 6hp Evinrude I believe a 1972 (SN starts with 6202DJ), I'd like to pick up a replacement for him either online or in the SWMO area... any idears? thanks Cenosillicaphobiac
zander Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I bought a starter motor and bracket from these guys. Your prop looks expensive, maybe you could find it cheaper elsewhere but it is a start. http://www.maxrules.com/fixomcprop1.html

Forsythian Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 Thanks guys... man, new props are higher than I thought they'd be. Hopefully I can stumble across a used/ reconditioned one. The way we treat 'em, it won't look new for long! Cenosillicaphobiac
fishinwrench Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Thanks guys... man, new props are higher than I thought they'd be. Hopefully I can stumble across a used/ reconditioned one. The way we treat 'em, it won't look new for long! I sold a bunch of old props (in not so bad condition) back when scrap prices were up, and I'm not sure what's left, but I'll dig through my bone pile here in a few days and see what I have, if I come up with something I think you can work with I'll shoot you a PM. Here's a new one going pretty cheap...no bids yet: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JONHSON-EVI...essoriesQ5fGear
lonkm Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 You might try Boat Part Store.com They seem to carry a large inventory. Good luck
Gatorjet Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Try craigslist. I just took a quick look under Springfield Missouri and found someone in Branson West who has a lot of new and used props. Give it a try, it might be one of the ones suggested before. Real men go propless!
