Paola Cat Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Got out and spent the day at BSSP. Pretty good day for numbers (not fantastic but OK). The wind was kind of a pain at times. It was overcast most of the day. There's some nice fish in the stream. Brought to hand (3) very nice rainbows ...... 2 on a olive crackleback dressed and drifted dry. The 3rd fish I targeted and got him to hit a peach micro egg. All 3 fish easily pushed 20". Broke off a 4th fish about the same size on large white humpy. Decent action from smaller fish too (enough to keep it interesting). My best action was on the flat above the dam. Only fished Zone 1 today ..... island to the flat. Saw some very large fish but couldn't get any takes from the giants. Spent most of the day fishing dries on 6X. Small crowd. PC Cheers. PC
fishinwrench Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Yep, it's getting close to the smallmouth savings time switchover. That report is getting me fired up too, thanks. I know you drove down by the river....how's it look ?

I know you drove down by the river....how's it look ? I second this motion completely.. (My friend says the river is looking pretty good but still a lil muddy and fast running) cricket.c21.com
Paola Cat Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 Cricket's right on. The river's up a little and a little off color. It looked real fishy. PC Cheers. PC
