redbird Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Too many video games. Thats what causes those sunken eyes. Nice mess of fish guys, jealousy is such an ugly emotion. I will have to find a way to deal with it. Im not a Cardinals fan, but I am a Cardinal. If you know me you know what that means.
Al Agnew Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Very nice fish! Don't know about the sunken eyes, but your theory about age causing it makes sense to me. In that water color, I'm not surprised crankbaits and spinnerbaits were working. Unless the leaves are too bad or the water too clear, crankbaits are deadly until the water temps get down into the high 40s.
joeD Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Sometimes fish porn gets me more excited than "regular" porn. (Regular being subjective, that is). Is that normal? Is it right? I do like stories with pictures, though. Thanks for sharing fellas.
405z06 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I noticed the eye on the largemouth. In the past I have caught fish that had previously been caught and got a treble hook in the eye. It kinda looked like that in the picture. I think this was one
Buzz Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 Thanks for all of the comments guys. Glad you enjoyed the pics. The fishing is definitely hot right now. I went out this evening to a walk in spot on Shoal Creek and landed 13 fish, most were in the 1 lb. to 1.5 lb. range with a couple of shorts. I lost 4 good fish when they jumped or tail danced and threw the hook. Again they were all over the Spinnerbait and soft craw. They are hungry. It's time to get out there and catchem'. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I know it is near autumn and the leaves are falling but, I wouldn't put those crankbaits away yet. Especially the Pointers and X-Raps. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
