Quillback Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 I have been out of town this week, but was looking at the lake gauge and it looks like it has gone up a foot in the last 24 hours. Must have been a real gully washer back there. I wonder if this will make the fishing better or worse this weekend?
Zack Hoyt Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 We got hammered. Anywhere from 3"-6" in the last 24hr. Beavers watershed is mostly to the south, and they got it even worse. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions

If this moisture pattern continues, just wait til winter. We're gonna hafta see if we can trade some kind of redneck/hillbilly equipment to the Yanks up north for some snowplows.

Members Wildeye Posted October 9, 2009 Members Posted October 9, 2009 I saw where Rogers was under a Tornado Warning yesterday, any damage in the area? Will the lake be muddy for a while? Headed that way in a week, hopefully we get a little better weather.
Zack Hoyt Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Lots of downed limbs and such, but no tornados formed. Most of ther really bad stuff was north and south of Beaver. Given that, the creeks will be discharging for a while. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions

jeb Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 We live in the Prararie Creek area and got 5" of rain last night, but no other damage. So I'd say the lake will be up a bit! John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
Members LarryC Posted October 9, 2009 Members Posted October 9, 2009 Since 5PM Thursday we've had more than 8" and its still raining. Were near Hickory Creek. Went across the White on 412 a bit ago and it looks wild. Muddy with plenty of logs/trees in the water. Yesterday the fishing report in the paper said stripers are already to point 12...I find that a little hard to believe this early. Anybody catching stripers upstream yet? Making Beaver Lake safe for all the little fish...one striper at a time.
