Members VIP Posted October 11, 2009 Members Posted October 11, 2009 Anyone know what the water looks like after this last rain? Muddy, trashy, or decent? Thinkin about going tomorrow, but would like to know before I get there, if it's even worth it.
fishinwrench Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 It hit 660.0 yesterday, but it's falling out slowly. the fact that it came up slowly (not really a flash flood) has kept the debris situation from getting too bad in most spots. There should be bass hanging around the ends (edges or corners) of seawalls, and holding on private boat ramps. Actually ANY irregular feature along the shoreline, in the back 1/2 of creeks and coves, has good potential. Try a big noisy buzzbait (it has worked well before in the exact same conditions). And, as long as they are generating close to 30,000 cfs there should be a ton of fish on the ML points of the lower lake. Good luck, and let us know how it went. Wrench
Members VIP Posted October 12, 2009 Author Members Posted October 12, 2009 Thanks FishinWrench. Gonna try it tomorrow. Not expecting a lot. Haven't had much good luck this year, so keeping my expectations low that way I'll be quite surprised. HAHA Thanks again
Members VIP Posted October 12, 2009 Author Members Posted October 12, 2009 Water condition was decent. Didn't catch much in the coves, points or in the running shad, the majority came from condo docks in 30-40ft on buzz baits. They were 12-15" but nothing to write home about.
