Larry Richards Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Just spent a cold windy day out on Lake Norfork with Backlash. We caught 15 fish on spinnerbaits fishing the channel swing Bluffs. The fish were on the shore line. The water temp was 65 and as low as 61 up Bennetts River.I Had a great time talking fishing. It made for a enjoyable day on the water despite the weather. Thanks again Backlash...
Ham Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 You certainly had a good day for throwing spinnerbaits. Any size much? LMB or SMB or Spots? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Larry Richards Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 You certainly had a good day for throwing spinnerbaits. Any size much? LMB or SMB or Spots? We had 2 over LM and about 6 Spots overs nothing big.Couldn't get a hit on a jig or crankbait but they were hitting the spinnerbait hard.I think we are going to have some great fall fishing this year when the weather stabilizes. The water LOOKS TO BE UP ABOUT 7FT AND YOU CAN GET ALL THE WAY UP TO THE BRIDGE IN THE BENNETTS RIVER ARM.
Ham Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I'll give you a holler for some half day trips in the coming weeks. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Members norforkwannabe Posted October 19, 2009 Members Posted October 19, 2009 Spent the same day on the lake. We were fishing in the big creek arm. Caught a nice smallmouth late in back area of Hudson Bay on a swimbait but most of our fish have been on spinnerbaits tight to cover. Lots of unders but a few nice'ns. Bigger fish have been smallmouths but some spots. Still on the hunt and will be in the area all week got here on the 16th.. wet and cold that day but the weather is gettin nice now--Good Fish'n--
Ham Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Miserable weather in the fall has meant better fishing for me. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
