Paola Cat Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 A while back I was the recipient of a Fly Logic fly rod in an equipment swap. It's a Model #FLO 905/2; 3 7/16 oz; Line size 5-6; fxlll & IV graphite, made in the USA. I seems to have a medium action to me the only time I cast it. I went to the company website. It seemed OK .... had some decent information. Does anybody have any background on this company? I haven't heard much about them. Anybody have any experience dealing with them or their equipment? PC Cheers. PC
laker67 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Outdoor review gave it a 5 on 5 rating. It was also one of the rods used to test Rio's Windcutter fly line.
patfish Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I poked around a little bit, since I have no first or second hand knowledge of said rods. Seems they are sold mainly in the NW, based in Idaho. Price seems fairly reasonable and they will let you try a rod on the water for 14 days. They must have confidence in their product. Their domain has been registered since 1996, so they've been around a little while. Like laker, I think I read that and one other review, both were positive; which sometimes frightens me. I know this is no real help PC, sorry.
loo10 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I have owned several FlyLogic reels for over 10 years. I have no complaints whatsoever. I still own them and they are now my back-up's or ones I loan to people. I had a reel seat break on one of them years ago and the service was fantastic. They truly wanted to take care of the customer & make me happy. They offer decent equipment at fair prices. I wouldn't be afraid of anything I bought from them. Service is better than most companies on the market. Hope this helps some.
