Gentlemen,

I have surplus of the above "tried and true" colors that I would be willing to trade for any/all of the following colors. These are the original (pre-Rapala) warts. V-37 is Brown Craw, V-38 is Green Crawdad, V-74 is Firetiger, V-201 is Bleeding Shad and V-210 is Watermelon.

In trade I am looking for the following:

V-86 Phantom Green

V-59 Phantom Brown

SP-90 "Missouri Craw"

I may also have "other" colors I may be willing to part with especially for the SP-90. Please PM if you are interested.

Thanks..............Darren.

I have a Wart question. While fishing last weekend, I was throwing a wart and it started spinning in a circle as it was being retrieved. What causes this? Can it be tuned to run correctly?

Depends...warts in their original configuration will "broach" from time to time--sort of a spin and breaking of the surface. Usually stopping the retrieve and slowing it a bit will allow the lip to dig water and self correct. Just spinning throughout the retrieve is likely due to a line tie issue (tune), tangled hooks (classic wart issue), or locked up split rings (not allowing hooks to swing and creating drag).

Can be a tough bait to tune due to the position and type of line tie. Once in a while you just get a bait that is molded or assembled badly. Seems to be more of an issue with pre-Normark baits.
