ollie Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Well, it's almost that time again. Thanks to Chief dubbing this "olliefest" I think. Anyone who wants to come is invited. We start @9:00 am. on Sunday, the Sunday right after Thanksgiving and go until around noon or so and then declare another winner for bragging rights to Capps! So far Buzz and I are the only two winners, but then again we have only done this for two years now. We need someone who can challenge us, will that be you? If enough people want to join us then I can break out the CHILI for lunch! Bet you didn't think about that Chief! Chime in if you want to go, it should be fun and cold as always. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Do you use those ugly black jigs? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
drew03cmc Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 It's a shame it isn't the 15th, as I will be down there fishing with Buzz and Chief. Andy
Buzz Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Of course I'll be there. Looking forward to it. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
OKFlyFisher44 Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I might try and make it down! Hopefully they stock Capps better this year than they did last year. That little creek has a lot of nice looking water.... Chance ...I'm haunted in my dreams of waters I have yet to fish and trout I have yet to catch... Chasing the Dream...
Chief Grey Bear Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I'll be there. Great idea with the chili Ollie! I would have never thought of that!!! Do you have a cast iron pot to put it in? I have a campfire grate that I can bring and we can warm it over the fire. ollie Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 They have grills set-up on the upper end by the mill itself with grates I think as well. I look forward to seeing everyone again this year and who knows, maybe we might have decent weather for it! I thought you would like the chili Chief. Wayne SW/MO Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I'm going to keep it in mind, might make it. Haven't seen you in awhile. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ollie Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 Wayne, it would be good to see you again as well. We never have done that overnighter we keep talking about.
