Members kcbear Posted November 5, 2009 Members Posted November 5, 2009 I would appreciate any current update on the what, where, and when, and how concerning the fishing on Stockton. I have learned a lot about the lake from reading the posts you guys put up-- both the guides and the guys like me that love to fish. I also depend on this board for things like clarity, lake level, water temps, and all the other little idiosyncrasies that are particular to this lake. I wanna come down and fish again Saturday-- Your experiences over the last couple of weeks might just make or break this plan!! Thank you, in advance for your thoughts.

Members kcbear Posted November 10, 2009 Author Members Posted November 10, 2009 Thanks for the two replies-- I stayed home- fished a 900 acre local lake (Longview). Water was about 55 degrees, with a little color. Beat the water for nearly 5 hours without so much as a nibble-- no bass, no crappie, no walleye, NO NOTHING!! But it was a beautiful day, and the fishing was good!!! Maybe I'll try Stockton tomorrow since it is a holdiay and I don't have to work. Again, thanks for the responses-- and I certainly hope things have already picked up for you.
denjac Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Was at Stockton today. Water temp was 57. Loads of short fish in the front bushes on jig and spinner bait. A few big whites also caught in the bushes. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. Members slowroller Posted November 12, 2009 Members Posted November 12, 2009 Thanks for the report !! Taking my son down this weekend ! He likes catching more than fishing right now! But he doesn't care who catches, just so some come in the boat.... Thanks for your help !
Dutch Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 How is the water color? I have only been to PdT and TR and both were muddy.
MstStudent10 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Going fishing this Sunday. I'm taking the lady out and debating on whether to go to The Rock, or Stockton. Stockton's closer to where I live so I'm leaning towards that. Anyway, when she comes she's very happy with short fish, so I'm just hoping on getting bit, size doesn't matter. Any suggestions on where to go? And which ramp has the best bass fishing around it? I've only got a 9.9 hp so I'm limited to only a couple miles from the launch. Ya gotta start somewhere ya know? Thanks guys for any input! Set the hook first, ask questions later...
