BBF,

Line attach. etc...I use what I call a loop knot, it's all my dumb butt knows how to tie and a 75 lb. rated barrel swivel on everything, couple in the left top half of the box if you look close, no less than 15 lb. Trilene Big Game.

Most of the time I use medium heavy to heavy rods with Shimano 4000 series spin cast or Shimano Baitcasters.

Make sure I have a full spool for distance and sling that puppy far upstream as I can...when it hits the water rip it 5,6 ft. and let it float up. Thats under normal conditions...they will generally be after it on the rip and hit it on the pause to float up, my theory anyway since I don't sight fish.

There's lots of different methods of casting, retrieving...just depends on what kinda water you're fishin. Most important thing is learning where they feed, knowing your water and the weather plays a big part of that.

Buzz,

Don't use that spook often, it's good for real big ones in swift murkey water...just a twich and a little flash will trigger a strike sometimes and if the water is real fast they know they have one shot at it or it's gone, another theory.

Took several years to get the hang of throwing those big baits and how to work them...most would probably give it up but when they made bait illegal on the current I had to figure out something.

I would never have thought they would produce the big browns like they do but, I would have never thought lots of stuff, lol. Dinks will hit those plugs too...no offense but they are just annoying to me...go back and tell your mom and dad there's some funny looking minnow trying to pick a fight, I'll be waitin, lol.

I am almost embarrassed to admit what is my trout box. I noticed Buzz didn't divulge what was in his box!

Anyway, its not much.

16 jars of assorted flavors and colors of Powerbait

Dozens of assorted sizes #10 - #6 treble hooks

Numerous sizes of lead sinkers, 1/16 to 3/4 oz

Assorted barrel snaps

Assorted sizes of plastic bobbers. I mean strike indicators.

One pocket book sized publication "How to increase your trout stringer in size and numbers" That is priceless. I refer to it often.

Ok I'll divulge, although it ain't much.

I'll have to go by memory because I don't want to go out to the truck and get all my crap out of my vest...

Zebra midges, Pheasant tails,Hares ear nymphs, copper johns, several types of small jigs.

Griffiths gnat, renegades, humpy's, stimulators, hoppers, crackleback, BWO's, PMD's, beetles,a few emergers and more that I can't remember.

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

Dang it bm, I was hoping for a little more out of ya. I had a whole bit about how tasty McCloud trout from Crane are. Not to mention the health benefits.
