Brian K. Shaffer Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I went to Springfield to get my glasses fixed. Spent most of my day at Sams. As Phil said.. there is plenty of weekend left. Sorry I missed it. Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Don Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I was glad I could make it again. Good people and good food. Nice meeting new anglers and seeing others again as well. Too bad several others did not make it. Too bad JJ couldn't make it. Wheatenheimer brought him a key chain: I could not believe the water was off. I fished from noon until 2:15 between chutes 1 and 2. Fish were biting good. I brought 15 to the net, biggest about 15". Zebra midges caught the most, copper was the hottest. Caught a couple on small gray scuds as well. It was an excellent way to start the new year. Don May I caught you a delicious bass.

Key chain that works as a walking stick that he could even use as a pole too... NO WAY he would ever loose that one!! SORRY JJ... but that is funny. http://www.taneycomonights.com
jjtroutbum Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 That's one nice fishing buddy beater ya got their Wheatenheimer!!!Mind if I borrow it for a bit? Gotta couple of "friends" I haven't seen in quit awhile. OK OK I guess I have hid in shame long enough.... No I didn't make it down this year. Truth be known I didn't get to trout fish but a hand full of times total last year. But I also haven't lost my keys for longer than a couple of minutes.Several times a week this year. Now normally I really prefer to get down early and pull the marathon day/night fishing and let sleep be darn but cash, time, and all most constantly being sick for the last couple of weeks. I just could not see the sense in tempting fate. Of showing up and getting myself sick as a dog again. OK excuses now aside. Glad the water was off that the sun was out and that Phil brought some kick but looking heater. I'll do better getting out to the water next year. That's my new resolution Now what I did do was celebrate in a different way. Doing my other hobby with like minded friends. So I'll share that Over in the firearms threads later. Gotta find some video. Jon Joy ___________ "A jerk at one end of the line is enough." unknown author The Second Amendment was written for hunting tyrants not ducks.
