Chief Grey Bear Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 It was without a doubt another great Olliefest. Complete with typical Olliefest weather. Looks like though due to the huge turnout, next year we resort to an invitational type Olliefest. And of course to be eligible, one would have to have attended a previous Olliefest. So for those that attended the first three, they will be able to attend future Olliefest. Congrats to all that attended. We had one minor mishap at this years fest. Buzz was disqualified from the competition due to his failure to arrive at check in at the appropriate hour. By fishing longer than the allotted time, he had to forfeit his catch for the day. And of course he did not agree with this ruling but the Board of Directors discussed the matter and came to a unanimous agreement. He is a loser! ollie Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Just spit out my adult beverage all over the screen! But it's all true, I figure if the event is named after me then I can vote out whoever I want and change the rules at any given time! we kept telling Buzz that all those chubs don't count as legite catches. Although I think I took that crown today with like 4-5. We all had nice fish that we didn't land and we all at least caught fish. I will in the interest of the people give over my crown to Buzz this year however with protest! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

My formal appeal to the Board of Directors in in the mail as I type this. It states that, "Although I did fish longer than the alloted time, the fish had just started to turn on and I hadn't smelled the fire yet." Just spit out my adult beverage all over the screen! But it's all true, I figure if the event is named after me then I can vote out whoever I want and change the rules at any given time! we kept telling Buzz that all those chubs don't count as legite catches. Oh yeah, did I mention that fly rodders rule????? If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
