Chief Grey Bear Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 ...trout, and rightfully so this time of year, I thought I would post this. I am not one to chase the trout truck or fish for them during the warm months. But I sure do like to chase them during the late fall and winter months. Anyway, it is just a little dated but a great read none the less. Be sure to read all of the pages. It is a little long but worth it. http://mdc4.mdc.mo.gov/Documents/25.pdf Chief Grey Bear Living is dangerous to your health Owner Ozark Fishing Expeditions Co-Owner, Chief Executive Product Development Team Jerm Werm Executive Pro Staff Team Agnew Executive Pro Staff Paul Dallas Productions Executive Pro Staff Team Heddon, River Division Chief Primary Consultant Missouri Smallmouth Alliance Executive Vice President Ronnie Moore Outdoors

I haven't read it all, but I thought the numbers for Taney was interesting. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Gavin Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I think they have made some good progress toward their goals......The Current fishes better than it did..more quality fish in the 15-17" range thats for sure.....NFoW fishes better than it did..I think that extending the blue ribbon area to Patrick has improved that fishery quite a bit...particularly the brown trout fishing...Eleven point fishes better than it did before they started stocking it again. They the Bohigian CA on Mill Creek is a nice addition.....Enforcement is still a sore spot though. Cheers.

You can read what their objectives were and how they have progressed on them.
