Annual One Fly Competition

Zach- I looked at past posts on this forum and don't see any info on the One Fly... Can you provide a link to something on it or post the details on the forum?

I assumed that's Dec 19th, right?

Where have you been? We haven't seen you lurking around here in a while. I'll try to make it down for the One Fly tournament. That was fun last year.

Lilley, yes it is Dec. 19th. Its where each person buys a fly 5$ each and has to use that fly to count it in the competition. Nobody knows what fly it will be untill the competition starts. You are allowed to go anywhere on the river.

Prizes (usually trophies) are awarded for Most Fish, Biggest Fish, and First Fish. This is all on the honors system.

Where is everyone getting together at in the morning, before heading to the river? (Buy flies etc...)

On the road to go to the powerhouse there is a turn-off to the right. It goes down to a gravel parking lot right beside the river. There will be a congrigation there and if you ask someone will be able to direct you to who has the flies.

And I believe it begins at 8. You can buy flies any time afterward.

Man, I'd like to come take part in this but I think I'll be duck hunting that weekend in western oklahoma. Dang it...I'd like to put a name to some faces. If duck hunting trip doesn't work out for some reason, I'll be there!!
