Geoff Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 i dont think a sonic boom would have cause the ground to shake. me and my 2 friends i was with on the other side of the stream felt it. so did the guy fishing next to us. i dunno though. i am also curious about the survey flags, maybe a walkway like the other side of the stream? That's what I think. Who knows though. If I'm down there again I'll try and ask someone.
stlfisher Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Blasting would be more likely I would think. Although just after the blasts, I could have swore I heard the faint roar of jet engines. We drove in to the park through Cuba and didn't notice any construction going on. Is there any going on between the park and St James? I wonder what the park is planning stream side. You can't help but notice the survey flags. I was the guy fishing next to you and your friends at the end of riffles a few minutes after the "sonic boom" hit. Still can't get the stink out of my waders....j/k.
Geoff Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 was it Bman or was it me and my friends? We were up in the front end of the park when the boom happened. "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."

Yeah, I meant to reply to you...inserted the wrong quote. I was fishing the blonde leech just below you guys at the front end of the park when the boom happenned. I think you guys joined me at the end of the riffles for a few minutes before I headed downstream. There were 3 of you guys right?
Geoff Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Ah yeah, that was us, there were 3 of us. I had the hole in my waders. Well its still there but yeah...anyway..haha "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
Bman Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 We were in the parking lot rigging up when we heard the booms. The only good line is a tight line
