Greg Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I saw on the news this morning that due to declining sales tax revenues and budget cuts - that roaring river state park is losing 4 or 5 employees. I think the report said that there will now only be 13 employees in the entire park. That's certainly sad for those people. I wonder how that will affect the day to day operation of the park? Members Troutgod1 Posted December 17, 2009 Members Posted December 17, 2009 yeh I heard that six were let go, and more may follow, that I heard from a park employee.
timsfly Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I heard that also, that there may be a few more let go in the comming months, I guess the park budget was cut quite a bit this last year, and it may be cut further for next year. Buzz Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Just curious, what are the exact jobs that are being cut? If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Members osuangler Posted January 6, 2010 Members Posted January 6, 2010 I hate to hear that as well. We have also had a state wide cut here in Oklahoma. 10% or more is the official word and as experience has shown us probably more. Anywho, hope all turns around there.
