conman Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Has anyone been bass fishing? Any reports? Is Pomme traditionaly a decent winter lake? Thanks Chris
shockley32 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Chris, Pomme is a great wineter lake! I'm not sure if much or any fishing can be done right now. Most of the lake is froze over. You could probably fish down around the dam area, haven't been down to see what the water is like. I'm sure all the coves are froze. I have a friend whose drilled through the ice and fished a couple of days. They caught some little bass and crappie with a few keeper crappie. Hope this helps. Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
Dutch Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I just talked to the COE and all ramps are frozen in and most of the lake is frozen and snow covered.
conman Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 I will be at the lake and hoping to fish this weekend. Can anyone tell me if the ice is gone? Any suggestions on baits? thanks Chris

Any suggestions on baits? thanks Chris I'm sure the ice will be gone by the weekend. What part of the lake will you be fishing and what species will you be going after?
conman Posted January 21, 2010 Author Posted January 21, 2010 Thanks Dutch. We will start out from Fisher Cove near the mouth of Decker and we will be bass fishing. Chris
Trav Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Pomme is a jewel in the ruff. If the bass aren't hitting there is so much more. Look for humps where the depth goes from 30 to 15 feet in the main body. The best ones are up the Lindley arm. darn good walleye this time of year. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P.
