Greenfield, Stockton, or Cane Hill? If so has the lake frozen over? Are any ramps open? I'm busting a gut and want to get down there.

Yeah no kidding. I don't think I busted a gut though. I'd give someone in greenfield $3.50 to drive up to the ramp there at Ruark or Mutton and give me low down.

I'll third that to anyone with any info. What's the water level and temperatures? Anyone actually doing any fishing on Stockton? Is Orleans Trail open??

I got this from another site. Thanks to beagle.

CC is froze over, twin bridges froze over, mutton creek is open, to the dock, back end is froze over, main lake is mostly open from Y highway north.

Current lake level as of 5:30 PM today - 868.98; two feet above powerpool with ongoing daily discharge. Curret lake temperature is 40 F with the incoming stream water at 37 F. As the water reaches 38 F (turnover)this means that surface freezing will be wide-spread in any area near an incoming stream and that the main lake is not far behind if these cold temperatures continue.

I live in Cane Hill, My wife and I drove all over the lake to check it out this weekend, did not find one boat ramp that was useable including, aldrich, old state park, state park marina, mutton creek marina, or twin bridges due to lake froze not ramp conditions. Possibly hawker point was open but not sure. I believe by the weekend old state park will be good. I am trying to put some pics on here but can't figure it out. I drilled the ice at a number of locations with a 4.5 inch bit and could not find water. People were even ice fishing underneath the aldrich (123) bridge. I drove my UTV out on the lake with no problems, it has froze over more than I have ever seen it since I have been alive, except I guess In early 84 it was like this.

Hey rookiefisher thanks for the first hand info. I'll bet you could get some boat gas from some of us old boys for updates on the lake situation. I know I'd sure send you some gas money, baits and/or tips so I don't have the 100 mile trip for nothing. I'm most interested from State Park to the dam in both arms.

I would also like to thank you Rookiefisher. Great info. I will be taking a trip around the lake on Saturday and will try to update your info. Maybe the warmer weather will thaw the lake some.

Oh no problem on the info, I couldn't take gas money or anything like that but could take some fishin tips. If you guys ever need lake info or weather info anything just e-mail me or somethin. Guys be careful out on the lake this weekend, the ice is melting on top and looks like water but underneath that 1-2 inches of water is 3-4 inches of ice in the upper arms and coves.
