All ramps are open for use and the lake seems to be fishing pretty well lake wide early and late. Surface temps lake wide are running in the 44 to 47 degree range, except way up the river arms and in the backs of the coves which are very cool to cold with some ice.

Interior and secondary creek chunk rock banks and transitions seem to be holding some very quality stickbait fish along with a pretty fair jig bite. As most times wind seems to make a huge difference. You need a little ripple on any banks you are fishing.

Deep fish are being caught on the bottom in the creeks. Run the main creek channels and look for bends the channel. Fish are holding on the bottom in these locations in the 30 to 45 ft. range.

Spoke to both Chris T. and Bill B. today and it has not been as good today as the last few days.

Bill B. did have an 8 pound LM on a grub in 45 feet fishing the channel bends in a major creek, with lots of nice K's up to 3 pounds this last week. White 1/2 oz spoon, white 4 inch grub on a 3/8th. jig head and a drop shot with a 4 inch worm are taking the bass species. Have not heard a thing on the whites since the snow.

With forcast in the mid-50's to low 60's for next week, I am just bettin it is fixin to really turn on.

Ahh, now I see where the story came from. Phil thought the 8 pounder was me. Coulda been though fishing with a grub, but it wasnt. Will be down next week. I am going to give it 4- 5 days for the ice water to warm up.
