Brian K. Shaffer Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I just saw on the news that Beaver is going to be drawn down by 7 feet starting Tuesday - so it looks like high water for Taneycomo once again. Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Members jefly77 Posted January 17, 2010 Members Posted January 17, 2010 I think you forget that Table Rock is about 4 feet below normal pool right now. The corps can manage the water from Beaver without having to run water all the time from Table Rock.
taxidermist Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 At the COE office in MT HOme Wed. I overheard that they were going to also dump Table Rock. in the attempt to maintain the White River at top of pool at Newport. as long as the rain does not raise the river out of the banks at Clarendon AR.
Leonard Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 from what I see out side (off my porch).. Table rock is WAY down.. The last time I saw the sand bar out was the year they didnt run water on taneycomo... http://www.taneycomonights.com
Members mo_bowhunter Posted January 17, 2010 Members Posted January 17, 2010 I am not very familiar with how Beaver, Table Rock and Taney are all combined relating to draw downs and water level. Is this something the corp does for a couple days or will it effect Taney for weeks? Thanks, Jeff
Don Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 It looks like it will be a few weeks. http://www.4029tv.com/news/22256531/detail.html Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
fly2fish Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 With yesterdays first full day of generation at Beaver, Table Rock only rose about .25" while Beaver dropped 6". I think, without any sigificant rain we will see the same 4000 cfs average from TR 24/7 for a few weeks. Anyone know what the bottom level they are looking for at TR until they go back to the on/off cycle? F2F
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 20, 2010 Root Admin Posted January 20, 2010 Nothing has changed here. I'd be extremely surprised if they ran much more than they're running now anytime soon, unless it rains alot or it gets real cold again.
Brian K. Shaffer Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Didnt they go from running a medium 2 units to a low 3 ? So it will not be running hard. I was wrong. Thank goodness.
