gotmuddy Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 a buddy and I went to the Spring river friday to do some bass fishing and a little trout fishing. We launched at cold springs(which was about 2ft low it appeared) and caught 5 largemouths. No good size to them, biggest was probably 1.5lb, and 5 rainbows that were ~11". Bass were caught on yellow crankbaits and one on a zigjig(greenish). Trout were caught on the zigjig and chartruese powerbait. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
jdmidwest Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 That is an interesting part of the river that I am sure most on here have never been on. We used to dump the canoe in at bridge in town and pull out at the dam. I have seen alot of fish and caught some nice bass in that area. Seen some huge snappers also. It has been a long time since I have fished that part, I am going to have to paddle that this summer sometime.
