I am still abit confused by the lowering of Beaver Lake. Are they going to move the water thru the flood gates? They are saying on the news they are planning to drop the lake by 7ft. in 14 days. It would have to come through the gates to get that kind of water movement would it not?

Is the plan just to let it right thru the chain, completely thru Bull Shoals.

The reason I'm asking is if the water comes off the top, it would create some kind of a fantastic 45 plus degree current on the upper white. It is most always the area of Table Rock that turns on first. With the warm water current, I think the bass and walleye would really get fired up.

Bill, I am speaking way over my head, so take it with a grain of salt.

It is my understanding they are probably going to be running two generators most of the day until Beaver is dropped. I am hoping they correspond a little from the top to help DO, but I dont know. I will see if I can get some further info.

I too was wondering the same thing. Then I read this: The Army Corps of Engineers will drop the levels by running Beaver Dam's generators 24 hours a day for about five or six days, and then scaling down to 12 hours a day after that. They do not plan on opening the dam's spillway gates.

I guess right now not too much diferance between the top and bottom water?? Was thinking about the upper end but might have to rethink the plan.
