Sorry to post this, but needed someone's best guess on what a 20.5 inch largemouth with 15-16 inch girth would weigh. I did not weigh her, but have been pondering this since I caught her last weekend. Anyone know a formula? Let me know.

WEIGHT = (LENGTH x GIRTH²) / 1050

W = (20.5 * 15.5 * 15.5)/1050 = 4.69

I would say somewhere between 4 and 5. These calculations are never exact. Good catch!

PS: For smallmouth the equation is the same, except divide by 1100 instead of 1050.

I'd call it a real nice fish. I generally consider 21 inch bass to be a "5 lber". Release em quick before someone puts it on a digital scale and shrinks it to 4 3/4 lbs though.
