Sam Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Not trying to pick a fight here - just an honest question. Isn't there an overall speed limit on the lake? I've heard some discussion about a nighttime speed limit, but isn't there one during the day? Seems to me that going 100+ on public water that folks are using for all kinds of recreation is pretty irresponsible, and dangerous. Just sayin'. I'm real glad the crooks got caught, though.
Members freelancer 11 Posted January 26, 2010 Members Posted January 26, 2010 No Speed limit during safe daylight. At night on LOZ I think it is 35. That has to be a heck of a rush 111 in a bass boat.
getfished Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 They should have bulletin board at all boat ramps posting glossy photos of these type folks. These boards should be weather proof and vandal proof and the expense should be borne by those whose pictures are posted. They should only be removed by doing public community service on busy summer weekends at a minimum of 3 public ramps including the ramp closest to the place where the crime occurred. I realize everybody wants to go to heaven...............nobody wants to die. http://www.tacklespecialty.com/
Flippin Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Gary, I was putting in a Aunt's around 12:30 on Saturday and there was group taking out that had yellow covers on their props. Was that your group?
Gary Lange Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 It could have been some of us. With the rain we went to Applebee's in Nixa for Lunch and then to HydroTec for a tour of the plant with the owner Wayne Worthy. Some did stay behind though. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!
techo Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Hey Gary.....if you remember those dude's names can you PM them to me. Tim Carpenter
Gary Lange Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Tim, I slept through the whole thing. Stop by the HydroTec Shop and talk to Wayne as he signed charges on them so he may have the names. I know one of them had a long rap sheet and would be going away for a while. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!
techo Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Disregard....got what I needed, thanks. Tim Carpenter
techo Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I know one of them had a long rap sheet and would be going away for a while. With your exposure to the way it really works.....you know better than that, my blue brother. Tim Carpenter
Gary Lange Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 I know they are most likely out by now and hunting again. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!
