awhuber Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 ONSR is Federal Land and concealed carry was not allowed. Signs went up all around the Current River parking lots when CCW passed stating that no loaded guns allowed on the stream or parking lots. Hunting has been allowed, but only so many yards away from the river, campgrounds, and parking lots. If you were pressed, openly carrying a handgun in the ONSR while fishing could have drawn you a ticket. The current river below the high water mark is owned by the people of missouri. I open carry there all the time and ccw while fishing or floating, all legal. another thing is all the private property along, mostly the upper river. The rangers down here wont bother you unless you are acting stupid. The new law will allow ccw over the entire area now tho and thats a good thing.
