Bass Pro is having their annual spring fishing classic sale and I usually stock up on XPS flurocarbon which is usually 30% off. What are you guys using for flurocarbon line? I haven't tried the Seguar fluro/Invisx on the Trilene 100% which I have heard are both good. Thanks for your input.

I have gravitated toward the Trilene 100% Fluoro. One downside is they dont have 1000yd spools...only 200 or 2000. The one thing to remember if you change...Base your applications with your lighter lines on diameter, not strength rating (lb. test). Seaguar has some of the smallest diameter (by the way, that does not mean that it is the strongest)on the market in small tests. For example, I used to use 8lb. Seaguar for many finesse applications (.009 diameter) and I now use 6 lb. Trilene 100% (.010 dia.). THe 8 lb. Trilene is more like Seagaur 10, etc.... 12 is close and by the time you get to 15, the diameters are the same...My one bit of advice...Don't EVER use Berkley Vanish-it will make you cry at some point..To look at some Fluoro studies, check out the following link (this was pre-Trilene 100%). Look for a line with a high tensile strength that handles the way you want. BTW, XPS Fluoro does VERY well in this study....

Trilene 100% Fluro here. Started out with it as my first fluro and am happy with it so far.

Invizx is really good. I went through several brands of flouro and gave up on it until I had a buddy suggest invizx. Since then I use invizx for every application except top water and flippin. I'm convinced I catch more fish with flouro. I use it, but I also cry everytime I have to buy more(pricey).

I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar

Gary Lange talked me into flouro. So far I like the Seaguar InvisX. I have some Bass Pro and it has great reviews, but it didn't seem to hold up as long for me. It seemed like the sun broke it down faster. Just a feeling though, no hard data.

Did I hear right that the B/P Flouro is made by Seaguar and is their 2nd gen formula ?

A carbon / flouro split I believe.

I just wish they sold it in 2lb.. 1lb... or 1/2lb...

Just once I wish a trout would wink at me!

I have tried many fluorocarbon lines and Only use Berkley 100% fluorocarbon now.I Keep checking my line after every fish or snag and it just amazes me how abrasion resistant it is.Only Fluorocarbon I will use now..

I used to be a big fan of bps flouro, until last year. I must have got some bad spools or something. Never broke so many fish off on hook sets in my life. Now I use Seaguar and have not had any issues of yet.

I have also tried Vicious and did not have any problems, but I have read a bunch of bad reviews so I stayed away.

Your probably going to get a mix of opinions here. I would pick two or three brands and see what works for you.

I have to point out that there is a world of difference between how lines perform, between spinning and bait casters. there are a few lines that will do a pretty good job on both, but they're rare.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
