ollie Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 I thought I would add a couple of pics from this past weekend. I don't know what this will do for the stream. The stuff that was there won't be and the stuff that wasn't there will be there. I had another email today from someone committing 8 more people! Were getting there! Don't you just love the last pic? Chief Grey Bear Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Judging by the last pic maybe Matt and Brian were right. Buzz Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Judging by the last pic maybe Matt and Brian were right. I've gotta great fly for that situation. Anyway, it looks like all of the added help will be needed this year. I'll have the old canoe in the back of the truck like always. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Chief Grey Bear Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I assume we will be firing up at noon for this? ollie Posted April 8, 2010 Author Posted April 8, 2010 Yes, 12 noon until around 3:00. Ballfield pavillion over by the walk over bridge. This year we are having snack food and bottle water provided. If anyone wants to donate food let me know. I have the water and refreshments covered. ollie Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 Remember our clean-up this Saturday. Look forward to seeing everyone down at the park! ollie Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 I just wanted to say thanks to Buzz and Chief and all the other people that made it to our clean-up this past Saturday. Special thanks goes to Buzz for the water heater he pulled out! We had 27 people show up all together and we cleaned a 3/4 mile stretch in town over by the ballfields. Also want to thank the people of Ameri-corps for showing up as well. They played a big part in our clean-up this year. There is an article online with the Neosho Daily News that gives a little snapshot of our endeavor. Thanks again to all that made it possible. Chief Grey Bear Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Always a pleasure to be a part of the team Ollie. It was a pretty long day for Dylan and I by the time we showed up at 1:00. We got up at 4am that morning and hit the road before 5:00, headed to Ozark to meet up with Slider and his nephew Cody to do some sucker grabbing in a few creeks around Branson. After the clean up, I went home, froze some fillets that Slider and Cody fixed up for me, smoked 4 cornish hens, greenbean cassarole, scalloped taters, and baked beans for supper. Thank goodness for a good sized smoker! Then after a dish of ice cream, it was off to bed! Buzz Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I'm glad to be a part of the team. Thanks go out to you Ollie for all of the behind the scenes work that you do to pull these things off. I was lucky enough to have another forum member, WoundedOne, help me from my canoe. Thanks Mike. It was definitely a Heavy Metal Day, with all of the metal strapping and the water heater we managed to pull from the banks. I swear that creek grows metal like my yard grows rocks. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Once again thanks goes out to all that where there. Here is the group photo of the crew we had on hand for the day.
