Gaven. I understand man, and will keep that in mind for the next time, I know what its like with "internet scouters" which is why i didn't give any locations we fished like some do. I saw more people walking/riding the trails then fishing, we did see an angry armadilo though. lol, he was more suprised then we were to see him though.

I'm sure you had more people that were making the trip up from Roaring River that were getting a little fishing in before the opening day caos, more so then a spike in interest.

Merlin Olsen's favorite jig is the Micro Jig....RIP M.O.

Oh -- there's mountain lions out there, bears too. Remember Gregor from the old Conservation Cafe? He went in there one March and has never been heard of since. Ray from Crane told me they found a pair of hemos in a steaming pile of bear scat down by the dairy farm a couple days after he went missing.

Anyway, I trained bears and lions for the circus in the summers during school, so I'm comfortable with them. And, I've been bit by all kinda snakes at church, so they don't really bother me none neither.

A voodoo with doctor down south taught me how to make amulets to keep away all sorts of nasties- bears, panthers, catamounts, rattlin' snakes and copperheads, wild pigs, wild women, wild women the size of pigs, meth addicts, Deliverance types.

I'll sell 'em to you guys, $20 bucks apiece. I'll even attach a little look so you can clip 'em on your lanyard or fishing vest.

Any takers?

Tom.

Afternoon kind gentlemen. I would like to iterate that I am a seasoned city boy ingrained with toughness and street smarts. I am by no means EVEN fazed by the aforementioned species that seem to inhabit the Crane Creek vicinity.

However, I would like to inquire if there by chance be any winged insects that possess the ability to apply a sting, i.e.; wasps I've heard could be one, bumblebee's (do they actually exist?) and how do they bumble? Yellowjackets? I had believed these to be dissenter's from our glorious Union army during the war. I've also been forwarned of pinching beasts called crawdads or cray... fish... is it?

I shutter at the thought of an unprovoked attack from these hideous creatures!

Surely you've tired of my inquisitions, but one more question need be answered. I've heard tale of plants of certain types that either poison you with terrible afflictions or rip your flesh to the bone with protrudements which may inflict their pain from great distances!

If any of you rough around the edge rural types could kindly confirm these type of malcontents exist at Crane, please do.

In the mean time... I've got bridge night til' 10:00 and a Pay Day Loans store to hold up at 11:00.
