Quillback Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 About the weather... Work like a dog all week, while taking note of the beautiful weather, sunny warm days. Weekend rolls around and it's cold, windy, rainy with potential snow tonight and tomorrow. This just ain't fair.

Yeah... The weather's looking terrible, but I think I might still try Montauk or the Current River today. The flood watch kinda worries me though.
drew03cmc Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Snowy here. We have snow and ice on the ground 3+ inches thick already. Andy
Members osuangler Posted March 20, 2010 Members Posted March 20, 2010 Muskogee, OK......Started raining last night 9pm, been sleeting since 10am.....snow on the way. Yesterday it was 72 degrees and beautiful. Gotta love Oklahoma weather. Members joefish Posted March 21, 2010 Members Posted March 21, 2010 Ive been wanting to float fish and camp. I guess im being a whimp for not wanting to camp out in 30 degrees and wet and snow. If it was elk season I would, but just cant quite commit. Probing the depths, driving lunkers from their homes!
rps Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 My back porch in the Ozarks is covered in snow, and I can't begin to say how happy I am. (I don't know how to make the emotican that means tongue in cheek.) All I know is I want to finish school soon.
Members solus_vero Posted March 21, 2010 Members Posted March 21, 2010 Wednesday - Floated the Niagua river from the BSSP to the last boat launch after the 64 bridge in my float tube. Did quite well on smallies and larg trout. The trout were tail dancing all day. They were both loving a small jig with the shimmy shad body fished on the bottom cross current letting it bounce off rocks. Weather was cool but Beautiful. Thursday - Got in 18 holes at the Lebanon CC. Shot a 90. They stop the winter rates soon so I figured I'd better git it in now. A warmer day than Wednesday. Friday - Put the bass boat in at day break on the LOZ. Caught nothing but small ones till about 4:30 then started catching bass off of rocky points with spinner baits and rattle traps. The water was real low but slightly clear. Even warmer day than Thursday. The sun felt especially good. Saturday - Recuperated from the last 3 days,,, standing at my front door watching it sleet/snow,, remembering how nice it is to be able to get out all week instead of standing in front of a 500 ton Brake Press machine all night (3rd shift for ?? yrs) taking "guff" from the boss. I find it hard to complain. . Solus_vero ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Latin for - " Only The Truth"
lonkm Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Being retired has its benefits, but I used to play hooky from work once in awhile too. Couldn't stand all that pretty weather going by. I think the weather pattern has been the same for at least 50 years.
